Tuesday, September 13, 2011 - Spring Creek Country Club - Best Shot Golf Benefit
Tuesday was a wonderful day for Compassion in Action! God gave us perfect weather for the entire day. We had 92 golfers on the course that day. We were blessed with being able to raise $10,700 for the Compassion In Action Fund to help other families! The Avera team also signed up more people to the registry.
The local news station, KSFY, was out to do a news story that day. They interviewed Kerry, Eric and others and it aired on Thursday, September 22 during the Avera Medical Minute. Here is the link to the news story:

Thanks to all who made this event such a success--all the hole sponsors, the door prize sponsors, Billion Motors for the hole in one prizes, the golfers who participated, those who volunteered to work at the event, and Ryan Jansaa for hitting the shot from the tee for the golfers.
Our utmost gratitude goes out to Eric Maas who organized this year's event and made it smooth sailing. Thank you Eric!!
We definitely missed Rodney on Tuesday but are so very happy that we could honor his wish to continue with the golf tournament on a yearly basis.

Sunday, March 27, 2011 - Potato Bar - 5 PM to 7:30PM Tea Lutheran Church. Includes a bake sale with breads and cakes a two silent auctions the first from 5:45pm - 6:15pm and the second round from 6:30pm-7:00pm. The Avera Team will be on hand to help you register to be part of the National Donor Registry if you want to participate.

Compassion In Action hosted its' first golf benefit. We had 100 golfers participate and raised over $11,500 for families battling cancer. We also were able to host our first bone marrow drive and had 35 people register for the National Bone Marrow registry. See our sponsors.
